Ali made her screen debut in 1988, with the film Crocodile Dundee II. Ali made her mark in the world of television as well. A Man Called Hawk and Wally and the Valentines were among her TV roles. Ali's most memorable project came when she brought Ashley Banks to life on the hit TV show, The Fresh Prince of Bel Air in 1990. The show was a collaboration with star Will Smith, the series was a huge success. It was a top-rated show on NBC and ranked 12th out of all programs between 1990 and 1992. In addition, the show would later get two coveted Golden Globe nominations.
