Anne Burrell

Anne W. Burrell, an American TV chef and the former Institute of Culinary Education instructor, is a TV personality. Anne W. Burrell is host on Secrets of a Restaurant Chef on the Food Network, as well as co-hosting Worst Cooks in America. With her trademark spiky blond hair and bubbly personality Anne Burrell eliminates the intimidation of dining out, and provides simple, easy-to-learn techniques for home cooks on her Food Network series Secrets of a Restaurant Chef. Chef Burrell has worked in many of the best restaurants in New York, studied the culinary landscape and traditions of Italy, and battled in the Food Network's Iron Chef America. Early on, while growing up in the upstate area of New York, Burrell became passionate about food and cooking. The Culinary Institute of America was where she studied to earn an English diploma and Communications certificate from Canisius College Buffalo NY. The Culinary Institute of America is where I spent my most memorable time in my life. It was difficult to master how to do, or even work hard enough. Following graduation, Burrell worked at La Bottega del 30 in Tuscany and La Taverna del Lupo (in Umbria) while attending Umbria. She also attended the Italian Culinary Institute for Foreigners. In Italy, Chef Burrell gained an appreciation and knowledge of Italian food. This had an enormous effect on the way she thinks about food. Burrell was an Garden of Dreams Foundation Advisory Board members, which strives to increase the quality of life for children facing challenges. Burrell also serves as a Juvenile Disease Research Foundation celebrity ambassador, and is a vocal advocate for awareness of the dangers of childhood diabetes. as a speaker, guest and teacher Burrell travels throughout the United States to discuss her love for cooking and career. Anne says she was incredibly fortunate that I could be able to share her passion for cooking with other people.
