Antonina Shevchenko is Antonina Shevchenko is a Kyrgyzstani and Peruvian Muay Thai fighter and mixed martial artist currently competing with the Flyweight Division of UFC. Valentina is her elder sister, as well as a fellow UFC competitors. Antonina Shevchenko's combat sport career began with her debut as a Muay Thai athlete. Shevchenko debuted on the IFMA World Championship Tournament in 2003. Shevchenko took the title and then defeated Suzane Mller with a majority vote. Antonina kept her winning streak going by taking home bronze and silver medals in 2007 and 2008 respectively, a Gold medal in 2011 along with the title of year-end 2016 IFMA amateur Muay Thai world champion. Antonia, who began her professional journey in 2003, was crowned in 2012 and the 2016 Lion Fight Lightweight Championships. It was also the WMC World Championships also staged in 2016, and she was crowned the 2016 IFMA Amateur Thai World Champion. Antonina was the last time she fought Isa Tidblad Keskikangas in The Phoenix Fighting Championship. She won by unanimous vote. Antonina Schevchenko set her professional MMA records in 2002 when she took on Anara Bazanova at KFK Cup in Kyrgystan. She won the fight by second round TKO and also won her subsequent two fights at WXF: X-Impact World Championships 2003 to amass an overall record of three-three. Shevchenko took a short break from MMA and concentrated on her kickboxing. Shevchenko made her comeback in 2017 against Anissa Diddaoui. Shevchenko won against Anissa by unanimous decision after which she beat Valerie Domergue in Phoenix FC 4. In 2018, she left the contest and started participating in Dana White's Contender Series. Shevchenko took on Jaimelene Nievera on Dana White Tuesday Night Contender Series 11. Antonina used her superior fighting abilities in order to TKO Nievera in the clinch by knees on the body. Following this victory, Antonina received a UFC deal. Antonina was able to make her UFC debut during the TUF Heavy Hhitters Finale, with Ji Yeon Kim. Shevchenko won the unanimous decision, but she was defeated in her next fight by Roxanne Modafferi in the split decision. Antonina was able to bounce back from the loss, and defeated Lucie Pudilova in the UFC on ESPN Covington vs. Lawler via second-round rear-naked choke, and was awarded the fight of the night reward for the bout. Shevchenko lost 1-2 in her next 3-fights beating Ariane Lipski and losing to Katlyn Chookagian, and Andrea Lee. Antonina suffered a loss to Casey O'Neill by second-round TKO at UFC Fight Night Santos Walker.
